7 1/2" solid wood planks- linseed oil?

I am looking at different wood options for a new build and I was investigating wide plank solid wood floor ( 7/14 inch).

My questions did anyone go with this option?
If so did you vanish them?
or go with linseed oil on them and wax?
If you did how often do you have to put this oil on the floor?

Any advice would be appreciated.

The oak floor in our bathroom was sealed with Ronseal or something like that. It has now been down about a year and shows no sign of needing a repeat coat.
