I am 64 and have worked for my current emplyer for 35 years and have been just been temporarily laid off indefinitely it may be for a few mths. I will be 65 in July. Firstly can I claim job seekers in the meantime while am off for these months? How long can they leave me on temporarly lay off? can I be made redundant? I will be hoping to get contributory pension what impact has this on all of this? Is the contributory pension available when I turn 65 or 66? if I do sign on has this any impact on pension or redundancy? thanks in advance.
