In their defence EBS would not have decided they wanted an engineer's survey until they saw the valuation report, it is not required for every property but there must have been something in the report, even the mention that one was done, to flag this to them. Either that or it's the age of the property or something else like that out of the norm.

Wow that does sound mega frustrating. I hope you can get a report swiftly and finally get this sorted.
