3day week and rent allowance

I have just been put on a 3 day week earning 220e for the 3 days. Just wondering if i claim for the other 2 or 3 days will i also be entitled to rent allowance?

The payment of rent supplement is based on means test on your total income, as well as the thresholds in your locality. I'm not sure if you can claim RS if you are working 3 days a week. Gipimann will probably have answer!

You can apply for Rent Supplement if you're working less than 30 hrs per week, and in receipt of whatever Jobseeker's payment you're entitled to.

Entitlement to Rent Supplement will be means-tested, both your wages and your Jobseeker's payment will be taken into account. There is also a maximum rent limit which will apply, it varies from county to county - if your rent exceeds the maximum, you may not be entitled to anything (though as you've been working, you may be granted a period of grace to find cheaper accommodation).
