It's not about not wanting them resurrected... just highlighting that someone posting that far back may not be around any more. Many old threads here still provide valuable and relevant information, many don't but AAM doesn't exactly have a team of people with the time to review and cull old threads that no longer have value or relevance.
The data requirement to store AAM's history is inconsequential.
