200k to Invest looking for best option.

Hi folks looking for all the help i can get. I have about 200k to invest or put away for a fix term. I really want to know what is the best way to get my money to work for me and make money. I'm a home owner mortgage free and have a good income so if i decide to put the money away i wont need access to it so looking for something maybe 5 years plus. Any advice welcome. Thanks

You need to start at the end and work your way back. You have €200,000 but what do you want to do with it? Do you just want to make more money or do you know what you want to use it for? If you do, we can look at what kind of return you need to generate to achieve your target. A strategy can then be made on what kind of asset you need to reach your goals.

Broadly speaking, you should look at a globally diversified portfolio that tracks the market. Keep it simple and boring.
