I know somebody that traded in an 02 Corsa recently. Had it from new and reported no problems, although they did seem to change some of the bulbs pretty frequently (easy to do yourself and cost very little for the bulbs). It had the 1.2 engine, which is probably worth going for over the 1L if you can find one.
