Advice needed for above- semi in dublin...

Needs following:
1, Windows - at least 2 - one in ensuite/ master bedroom
2. Ensuite to be replaced and tiled and new fixtures
3. Upgrade heating
4. Attic insulation
5. New doors internal - could do either ground floor or both
6, New front/ back door
7. Basic painting throughout house

Any guesstimate for a price...

any change out of 10k?

I would have thought that you have a good chance of getting it all done except the heating upgrade.... that could run to €10K on it's own

maybe if you did all the work yourself:) and excluded the heating upgrade
the following is very rough..
*depending on spec & size
  1. 1-2g *
  2. 2-10g *
  3. 7-10g * floors and type
  4. 4-1000€ *
  5. 200€ supply n fit each (skirting/archs?)
  6. 1-2g *
  7. 2-5g *
with heating upgrade will you have to change/repair floors?
you should really consider the wall insulation especially when changing heating system and windows

there are some grants available for heating and insulation and as you will have to get a BER done as part of that process get an assessor who's also an architect to advise you..

Hi MarySmith

I think that you are looking at a very ballpark €50K series of tasks which could be done for perhaps €20-23K with careful budgeting and buying.
The trouble is that none of your headings is defined enough to offer a comment - for example what does "3. Upgrade heating" mean?
This could cost €20K by itself depending on the size of your house and what's being done before making good and redecoration

Please take a moment to read posts written today by myself and other regarding attic insulation and service runs in attics.
