Hi all,
A quick one, got my 10th coming up next spring and would like to plan a 2nd honeymoon.....not really into the whole sun holiday thing, we think that we would like some kind of moderate "Adventure" holiday...1 week...maybe up to €2K any ideas....past experiences
Cheers

2k won’t get you very far, and 1 week is rather short. You could just fit in a fly-drive in South Africa. There’s no jet lag, and facilities are excellent. It’s also a bit of an adventure and good value. Or you could try a few places in Eastern Europe – Prague, Vienna / Budapest, etc. Or Moscow / St Petersburg. If your budget can stretch a bit think of Asia, e.g. Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Beijing, etc. Any of these will have enough to keep you occupied for one week, facilities are good, there’s plenty to see and do, everything is well organised, but you could be a bit jet-lagged. Or go to Rio, and stay in Ipanema, it’s very romantic and definitely an adventure. If you are interested in real adventure holidays you could check out the UK specialist firms Explore www.exploreworldwide.com or Exodus www.exodus.co.uk, but this would mean travelling in group which is probably not what you want on your 2nd honeymoon.

Sky tours 01 6704440, are offering great deals to Prague at the moment from €199.00 for 2 nights, I got 4 nights for €349.00. Fantastic value considering I am going to Amsterdam for 2 nights 3* and have paid €390.00.

..

Would definitely endorse the cruise idea, but make sure it's with of the better lines. Royal caribbean, P&O - yes. Carniva/Celebrity - no.

(wouldn't bother about the recommendation on the 10th being aluminium - see 2nd last post in link ;) )

If its walking you are in to, then Guereba (see Trailfinders Europe Brochure) do walks in Tuscany, The Alps and The Pyrenees which would be within stated budget.
