100% Mortgages - Have a site - Nearly ready to start building

Just a question - About 6 months ago , i checked out getting a mortgage and we were told that becasue we have our own site, that the banks (Well 2 lenders and also 1st Active) would give us a 100% mortgage because we had our own site as collateral. (for approx 300k)

We are awaiting news of the Planning permission in the next few weeks and if succesful , will start building ASAP.

In light of the current environment, I want to know are 100% mortagges still available on house builds?

Yep, 100% mortgage for build costs still available.

They are still available however we applied a couple of months ago and was approved and drew down 10k for the site prep. Now (this week) they want a Guarantor as well as valuations of the land re-done, pictures of the site etc etc before we can draw down more <Insert Rant Here>

Apparently they are well within their rights to do so as the risks has changed. In the mean time we are trying to keep the builder happy with savings and credit cards.
