09' Ford Focus Service Reset

Dear All,
I have a 09' ford focus 1.6 diesel which needs the service miles/klms to be reset after an oil/filter change. As I am new to this forum, I have only now discovered how to create a post, so my apologies to mondeoman for sending him a message, instead of through the usual channels (here).

why didnt the garage reset it after they serviced it?

I have just bought it, and the seller (not main ford dealer, but subsidary) serviced it at 12'000. miles.but forgot to reset the service interval. I could take it back to him, but as I plan to service it myself in future, I need to know how to do the reset. So if you ( or anyone else) can help, it would be much appreciated.
