My sister in law had this type of car and hated it, she couldnt change it soon enough.

Me on the other hand, liked to drive it. Mixed feeling in our house!

Thanks Smashbox
What did you like about it and your sister in law dislike

My sister in law hated the handling, and said it was so uncomfortable to drive, as in seat wise (she likes to have a comfy a**!)

For me, I liked the power steering, it was better than my car and thought the general feel of the car was great.

For me, the 'cockpit' was comfortable and I felt it was smooth to drive! I guess take it out for a test drive to get a good feel of the car for yourself before you purchase.

They are supposed to be one of the best handling cars in their class.
Ford generally excel in this respect.

Read up on previous posts regarding "Dual Mass Flywheel" recall on Galaxy (I can't do a link, sorry), and maybe do a Google on it too. No Ford recall on Mondeo though (that would have been far more expensive), so any such problem would be yours to fix. Also steering rack replacement potential problems. Otherwise a good powerful, comfortable car, but depreciates very quickly, but that could mean a bargain price for you if you intend to keep it a while! Best of luck.

I had an 02 and currently have the 05 version. Very comfortable, good handling, roomy. On the neg side, had to replace two injectors in the engine this year, at about 70,000miles. Economy about 45mpg but I drive it a bit fast at times.

If you want, you can get a very good condition nearly new Mondeo up north for about stg6,000. CHeck autotrader.co.uk
