02 Mondeo shaking @ 70+ mph

I have a '02 mondeo petrol 1.8 that starts to shake alot on approaching speeds of 70+mph. Anyone got any ideas about cause?

New alien technology developed by local gardai - especially for 02 Mondeos. Will shake when speed limit is broken .

Get wheels balanced and/or tracking done. If it's a very new thing thats just recently started happening it sounds like an alloy has been bent going over a pothole or kerbed badly enough to warp it.

Could be your tracking or perhaps a CVJ Joint.

Thanks for that - was thinking tracking myself -will get it checked out first

tracking will likely make it pull left/right.
wobbling is the balancing. get both front wheels balanced. It should cost max €20.

Could be worn bushings or something like that.

As was mentioned go for the obvious first.

Tyres tracking balancing.
