The one with the guy in the press doing a stupid song & dance with a very suspicious pack in his pants....is it me or is it the most cringworthy, irritating, annoying advert ever??

I actually have to change the channel (which I haven't had to do since the "nail fungus" advert which just made me mildly ill!!!)

Anyone got a better suggestion for worst advert ever???

On radio it has to be any ad for Brennan's bread. The narrator has to have the most irritating voice and laugh I've ever heard.

The Harvey Norman ads, (I know there was a thread here before about them). I cannot stand them!:(

No way, the worst one is Autoglass. Every five seconds. I saw a guy across the road from our house the other day from Autoglass and he was repairing a crack in a windscreen. I felt like shouting at him and taking my annoyance out on him - poor fella and he only doin' his job :D

The avonmore milk ad after the weather on RTE. Makes me want to hurl my cup of tea at her.

Haven't seen that particular crunchy nut ad - but in general I think their ads are usually pretty funny. I love the (Clusters or something?) ads too -"what idiot thought that would be a good combination?" "you wouldn't like them" etc

The single worst ad in a decade is that Peugeot one from a few months ago. That slick, smug, punchable American car salesman guy? "you take your regular 306 and pile on the goodies"...."we have it in noir" etc etc

I'd rather eat barbed wire than have to listen to him saying "yadda yadda" again.

I love the Brennans ad...todays bread today. For some unknown reason it reminds me of my youth long ago.

Definitely one of the most stupid adds the hit the screens

Especially after the dispatches programme on the other night exposed just how much salt and sugar in most of these Kellogs cereals and the lengths they go to disguise this fact!

Well done, Molly!!! I hate those ads so much that I was going to start a thread about them!!! In years to come, they'll show the one where she's in the shower on some 'Absolutely Pathetic Ads From Yesteryear' programme.

I actually feel sorry for the poor woman. She looks totally ridiculous. CRINGE!!!

(Phew!!! I'm glad I got that one off my chest!!!) :D

That ad drive me insane also. And to think someone got paid to come up with it!

Another thing I can't stomach is the background music on Dunnes Stores' radio ads. It sounds like an average musician playing 'I Fought The Law' on a cheap electric organ!!!

For TV, Sky+. You'll never have to watch another ad again.

Still havent figured out what to do about radio though.:(

I hate everything about those Meteor togo ads. On the other hand I think the old Guinness ads such as this were great - not great enough to get me to drink the stuff though.

The new Bulmers ads.

Are we to believe they are all simpletons, possibly gay like the dandy lad who flits around cutting things, with a wild variety of accents though they are all, presumably, local lads (not the type of job you'd cross the country for).

Inappropriate accents annoy me. Think it was the young Frank McCourt in Limerick with a broad Cavan accent , how hard came it be "c'mere I wants ya" and a few stock phrases would do.

I hear Ben Dunne has given up plugging his competitor Done Deal, good man Ben !! Like to guy.

There's one where someone is spitting blood and then a tooth into the sink. Yuck

Corsodyl for bleeding gums.

Just goes to show how these companies waste their money on these ads when the name of their product doesn't stick in the memory.

grrrrrrrrr. himself and mrs "fact me" should be locked in the boot of a no-wor 306.

i also hate that ad for insurance with the stupid smiley face drawn on the screen. it's the little sound at the end that kills me..

And the ones which often do stick in memory are often the worst/most annoying - yet the Whip Express advert had the best recall dispite being an appalling cheap advert (similar to the current Cillit Bang ads) and the Smash ad.

But there is a key difference between an advert which is annoying yet sticks in the mind (usually ones with catch phrases) and one that make you so feel ill it is an compusion to change the channel.

Annoying jingles still ring in the mind and you may buy the product yet ones that make you feel ill will surely stop you from EVER buying the product.

No all the Ben Dunne ads are the worst.
I did mention cheap, didn't I? Ben is a firm believer the € is better in his pocket than someone elses....he did the adverts of the leisure centres, but it's not working for his new venutre & he admited as much yesterday on the radio
