M50 Toll: Wrong Car Reg entered when paying

I don't usually use the M50 toll bridge but circumstances meant I drove through three times in recent weeks. I don't have any type of account set up so I always paid online by credit card before 8pm the following day.

Or so I thought until I got notice from eFlow saying I hadn't paid for one of the journeys.

Now I genuinely did pay each time and have print outs for each payment. But now I think I may have entered a wrong digit when typing in the car reg number on the occasion in question. On the form there isn't the opportunity to re-type the car reg, or to review the car reg when confirming payment details. I just wasn't concentrating enough.

Having read here of the telephone hell that contacting eFlow about tolls can be, is there any point in me phoning and pleading my case? Or will I just end up having to pay the toll (which I believed I had already paid) plus the additonal charge anyway which at €9 in total would make it one expensive journey?

Has this situation happened anyone? What was the outcome?
As always, I'd appreciate any help on this.

If you have the number you put in in error, and the date/time of the transaction, you'll have a good case when you call, especially since you used your own credit card to pay. I'd give them a call and see what happens.

Yeah it happened me.

I noticed after I confirmed payment so I knew the incorrect reg number that I entered.

I gave them a ring and they linked my payment for the incorrect number on their datebase to my correct number and all was sorted.

I even got off my late payment fine that was due as I had forgotten to pay within the correct time.

I would think you are ok if you ring them (don't think the queue is as bad now). They were able to link a payment I made to my reg even though I had made an error on the form.

I didn't have the time to phone today but sent an email detailing everything.
I'm still waiting for a response.
I'm glad to read that there is hope to have the thing sorted.
Bad enough paying the toll without paying for journeys not made!

I appreciate everyone's response. Thank you. It's good to hear from others how they got on.

I'll update any developments.

Wouldnt bother with emails, phone them. Same thing happened to me. Girl on the other end fixed it up for me.
