Yes I know - crazy - not me I'm not the owner. A question anyone any info on service for this type of vehicle in Ireland? They need to have access to the on board computer (as far as I know)

Can't help but wait until mathepac is around - he could well know something.

Ooops, my reputation preceeds (and exceeds) me.

GTR, GTS, GTT, R32, R33, R34? Plugging in to the diagnostic port on one of these 1995 babies needs a connector like the ESB use to connect to the national grid.

I believe the automotive technician's courses (they used to be mechanics) in the Regional Technical colleges include a module (no pun intended) using the software and connectors for these cars. So if your buddy knows someone who needs a car for trial diagnoses, this might be an option for him.

There used to be a specialist tuner / importer in Cork, I think, but I can't lay my hands on contact info at the moment.

Has your buddy tried any of the Skyline user forums?

Mathpac - many thanks for the info - I'll do some searching. There is a guy in Wicklow. To be honest it's a mad car to have - you may have guessed I'm a "mom" doing some legwork for a son - what would we do without mamies?

I admire the young lad's taste in cars (and his choice of mammy), I just hope he pays his own insurance and fuel costs.

There is a place on the Naas Road, near the Kylemore Luas stop, that imports the more glamourous Japanese vehicle. They did some work for me on a mature imported Corolla and were very au-fait with the (admittedly less specialised) needs of that car. They may well be able to help seeing the calibre of the machines outside their door?

Think the name of the place is Autopoint - its 1st left heading out of town after the Kylemore junction. Faces onto the sidestreet rather than the main road.

To Paulone - many thanks for the information - much appreciated. Hope you have a Happy Christmas & a good New Year
