Baby seat Ford Focus

I have a 2006 Ford Focus with no isofix - I could get the isofix anchors fitted according to a Ford dealer I rang, which I may end up doing.

Before I do that, could anyone here recommend a good rearward-facing baby seat (i.e. for a newborn) that fits a 2006 Focus - from some searching it seems like the Graco Logico might be a runner.

Thanks.

We got a Britax at [broken link removed] and it worked fine for a 00 Focus. They will fit it for you as well. It has worked well for us (currently in use by our second little un).

I was already aware of the danger of putting rearward facing seats in the front, but thanks for mentioning it anyway.

I'd have thought the opposite, but there you go.

A driver would presumably want to be able to see the child?

Its an odd one actually:
on the one hand you'd think it would distract the driver, but on the other hand, my neighbour got an earful earlier in the Summer from a Garda saying she must put the rearward facing child seat it in the front passenger seat. However, she drivers an mpv that doesn't allow the passenger airbag to be turned off.... so go figure

also, I'm not aware of any rearward facing child seats that are isofix compliant, its seatbelt only

Just to clarify - I'm not looking for an isofix compliant car seat, just a rearward one that fits a Focus.

In the end I got a maxi-cosi; it came top of the non-isofix seats in the Which survey (details on the RSA website). It fits fine so hopefully it works out well.

Thanks to everybody for their comments.
