with the rising cost of petrol and particularly diesel we've added a new item to our site where people can find the cheapest prices closest to them, looking for people to add/update locations if they know of any and give me any feedback on how we could build on this!

prices went up a goood bit before last weekend for the bank holiday....used to be a similar pattern years ago in teh states before holiday weekends.

The cheapest is not always the best. Last year I got my petrol at the cheapest garage in town, a fill didn't last long. I checked my mpg with that garage against a garage that was 3 cent/litre dearer. It turned out that with the cheap petrol I got 33 mpg and with the
dearer petrol I got 37 mpg. I checked mpg at least 3 times with each garage. The cheap petrol was costing 15.5 cent/mile and the dear petrol was costing 14 cent/mile.

prices are getting scarey now 1.30 for diesel seems to be the norm in most garages.
