Anyone know having no TAX on a car a fail for NCT?

Hey my car is due for an NCT, I don't drive it as I have another car and im putting it up for sale as soon as it has it's NCT. So is no Tax on a car a fail for the NCT?? There's noting to say about having to have your car taxed on NCT.IE

No , its not required.....

Infact you used to have to do the nct to get tax...

Nothing - they will tax it from the beginning of the month in which they purchase the car.

This would apply if the op decided to start reusing the car in a public place but it would be irrelevant to a new owner of the car who would still only have to tax it from the beginning of the month in which they purchased it from the op.
