i have no personal experience of the above myself so i cant reccomend one - obviously a lot of peole ask someone they know to do one but i will be getting a professional one done as i will feel less obliged and probably a little bit more demanding and dont feel meam about having to ask a friend to do a checkup on the work

any other advice would be welcome as i will bew getting mine done very soon

Hi everyone...

Had my final interview for Martello with the council today. Have to say I was dreading it but the woman that interviewed me was so nice and really really helpful...She went through absolutely everything with me which was really great as I am buying on my own.

Best of luck to everyone in their final interview!

I hope you do not mind if I ask about the things the woman went through with you?

Becasue I want to be prepared for my interview when it comes up.

Hi,

She basically went though all my finances first. She then read through my application with me to make sure it was all correct. Then she went and did calculations for repayments and came back and explained everything about the repayments to me.

Do you know if they done a credit check on you before you go into the interveiw?

I have no idea to be honest...She asked me when she was going through my stuff if I had any loans or anything...She could do one after today I suppose...

They haven't posted the section where they mentioned what developments have affordable housing but there was nothing unexpected: St. Samsons, Kettles Lane, loads in Balbriggan. This that was posted further up this thread.

hi. just found this website today.. Going to view martello tomorrow at 1pm.. been on the list nearly two years after being given the run around by peole in the affordable section!!! I cant believe im actually going to view!! is anyone else viewing martello tomorrow or already viewed?? I was told there are only 2 beds left but still going to have a look.. Look forward to hearing from anyone who wants to reply.. :)

Hi everyone.. have some news I viewed Lusk Village 12 weeks ago and was told I was third on cancellation list.. was really disappointed..lots of people on the forum said I might still get one but I held out no hope.. but got a call from Fingal yesterday asking if I'd like to view properties that people cancelled for.. I took a groundfloor apartment and am really really happy.. so just wanted to let people know its definitly worthwhile putting your name on cancellation list!!

yeah they said that there 17 two beds left and 14 people were viewing at a time. So id say there will be a bit of tension. when i asked how it was going to work, they said that everyone will view together and then they will take people into the office in the order they are on the list and let you choose...

Yeah it gave a good listing of properties and there Affordable Housing cost & there actual market value, very interesting!!
