Hi - just wondering if anyone knows anything about this area? I'm looking at a house there but haven't a clue about the estate and Lucan in general. Is the estate quiet and is it in the catchment for good schools? How long does it take the bus to get into town etc etc ? Any info is much appreciated. Thanks

Ash Park Grove would be in one of the nicer Estates in Lucan. I would say very quiet, high level of owner/occupiers, most houses very well kept and in general, a good location. D'ont know much about the schools, but would certainly have no problem with the Estate.

Thanks a mill MandaC. That's great to know. Would you happen to know if its in St Mary's Parish ? (I'm just doing a bit of searching on the net and Mary's Parish is the one that seems to be most desired).

I'm fairly sure it is in Lucan south. PM me your email address an I will send you a map.

You can see from the parish map, that it goes down castle road, then across by griffeen way.

Hi,
I bought a house in ash park a few months ago. Very happy there. Good build, nice surroundings, greens well kept. Nice and quiet. Only drwbacks house alarms sounds on saturday morning from neighbouring elm park. Also if you live in the avenue, people park there when visiting Lucan sports and social. It is not in St Marys Parish.

Any questions pm me!

Out of interest, i had a quick look on myhome.ie to see where Ash Park was...
It stroke me to see that all houses around in near by estates are much cheaper..
3 bed semi-D= €375 to 400k
4 bed semi-D = €420k
5 bed semi-D= €525k

7 Ash Park grove 4 bed D = €750k ! That's an extra €330k for a D instead of a semi D.. almost the cost of a 3 bed semi D in same the area

Food for thought....

Not very nice food at that!

In fairness, the detached house that is for sale at the moment in Ash Park is a one off, and I would say there is only one or two of these within the whole Estate. This particular house has a huge back garden.

I dont think the other houses in Ash Park are priced way over the odds compared to the other Estates around. 3 bed semis come on from €400 to about €415 depending on condition.

Ash Park has always been (slightly) more expensive than the surrounding Estates - but then again, (and this is just my opinion), I would consider it a (slightly) better area.

Many thanks for that everyone. So Lucan South does not St Mary's Parish ? (I'm a bit dim and have to get used to the borders etc and what they mean but looking at the parish map it seems that it does??? ). If I went for Ash Park, what schools would I be in the catchment area for (and does anyone know if they are good, bad or indifferent) ? Sorry for all the questions but I really appreciate your help.

Not knowing this area, tell me what makes it better than the one beside it ?
Is it because you live there?:)

Its a small quiet estate with loads of room for parking. Alot of owner occupiers. Quite spacious houses. Very well finished!
