My uncle signed over a farm to me a few years back with a small farm house which they still reside in the house is very old and in need of repair but is a good house otherwise, he maintained a life interest in the farm and house , can he apply for the grant and will it just be him assessed income wise or will it be him, myself and my spouse.

Yes I am referring to that but I understand as part of budget 25 there are significant changes being made to the housing adaption and essential repairs grant

There is speculation, but only in the order of a 30% increase of the grant limits and a 25% increase in the income thresholds.

If your uncle lives there alone and all the farm income is now in your name, then his needs will be assessed on merit with only his means being assessed, but from my understanding, this grant isn't quite as clear cut as others. It would appear the LAs have a set budget for these measures and have to determine where the greatest need is.
