why is it we have Fluoride in our toothpaste and water, and we still have to go to the dentist?

Eating sweeties, not flossing/ using interdental sticks, alcohol, smoking, not brushing for 2 mins twice a day , having one set of teeth to last for up to 80-90 years. I'm not a dentist but thats a good list for starters.

how do we know if the flouride is working,

There have been many studies showing it results in 50-60% reduction in decay.

There have been issues in the past with fluorosis as a result of overexposure, but chronic fluorosis would require many years exposure at >25 times the maximum level permitted in Ireland.

oh dear, more anti-expert rubbish. Are you going to start on 5G next?
It's the Lizard People. They put it in our water to control us. Them and Bill Gates. he gave away most of his money and has dedicated the last 20 years of his life to helping people so he must be evil.

Good to know our €5 million is well spent then, I'm not concerned about flouridation from a health perspective risk, more from a cost effectiveness.
