If people are any way unhappy with their redress amount they should appeal.I was unhappy with compensation part of ours for all the stress 9 years caused, I felt it wasn’t a good enough reflection. I filled in forms and appealed as you have nothing to lose, wasn’t expecting much if at all but was pleasantly surprised with our appeal. It was a smooth process for us and turned out with a good outcome.

What bank was yours please

No , if I remember right bank didn’t want one. I would have if I had to. Just letters from bro every so often to update on where appeal was at. Took about 6 months

According to the Central Bank

So, yes, it's well worth appealing.

Even if you appeal and lose, you will see the arguments used by the bank and can frame your complaint to the Ombudsman in the light of those arguments.

Anyone out there received anything substantial to really compensate them for years of sacrifice and difficult life choices?
