Judging by this article in the Irish Independent, Dublin GAA have lost the run of themselves if they're happy to have the following published in their name.

""The Blue Jersey is an unique, inclusive brand, uniting Dublin's dense expanse, blurring the difference in class and possession which became so pointedly manifest during the delusional days of the Celtic Tiger,""

Once you let marketing and management consultants in the door, your soul dies .

Quite possible Leinster Rugby were wearing blue before the GAA started doing so anyway. I presume this article has nothing at all to do with one of the Dublin back room team joining Leinster !!

They win one All Ireland in 20 odd years and get carried away with their importance

Wonder what Wicklow make of it?, their colours are far closer to Leinster rugby then the Dubs

There was a continuity bit on Today FM maybe last month or so, and it was highlighting the various sporting highlights of the year, and it used the term "and what was an amazing (or incredible, can remember) year in GAA".

Why was it amazing? Cos Dublin won something? Why was the previous year not amazing, or the year before that? For me, this year was no more amazing or exciting than any other.

Maybe they did say the same in previous years. Or maybe they mean because of Dublin winning the hurling league, Kilkenny coming back to win the All Ireland, Clarinbridge beating O'Loughlin Gaels in the All Ireland club final, the whole thing over Donegal's style, Mayo beating the All Ireland Champions and yes Dublin beating Kerry in an All Ireland football final that brought back memories of the 1970's.......

Amazing how Dublin can't be allowed to enjoy one year of being All Ireland champions. The squad spent 4 hours with kids in my local club the other week and were a credit to the GAA just as I am sure every All Ireland winning team has been in previous years.

Is green not the traditional provincial colour for Leinster?

For Leinster Rugby ? No. They've been wearing blue for as long as I can remember (1970s).

Maybe the Leinster Railway Cup team don't wear blue, but the Munster Railway Cup team don't wear red, so go figure !

This isn't about the achievements of the team. It's a criticism of a perceived attempt to claim 'ownership' of blue jerseys.
