Twitter to set up Dublin office

Yeah but I am sceptical. Very little detail with the announcement. Wouldn't be surprised if it is just a corporate headquarters they are basing in Ireland. Think they recently acquired office space in London as well. Hopefully it will lead to big jobs though.

To start with I think it'll just be a small sales office and team, just like Facebook did. Hopefully, as with facebook, that team will grow and expand.

Not sure if there'll be any tech jobs though.
 
Twitter were invited to 10 Downing Street to meet PM Cameron and Mayor Johnson. as part of the lobbying for their European HQ.

I wonder if they met Enda, and, if so, was he clutching his NOKIA 6310i ;) ?

No they met Ivor Callely with his multiple state-paid phones, and knew they were on a winner.
 
Has Twitter opened the Dublin office? Anyone any idea where the Dublin office is based?

No it's an actual office with actual employees, last time I heard (a year ago) they were taking on 50 employees and I think that has steadily increased.

Their inention was always to start out with a small office in Europe to handle sales and technical side and steadily expand the base as it grew.
 
Friend of mine's brother works there and he said its on Pearse St, near Science Gallery
