Alarm Wiring

Hi,

Just a quick question regarding wiring for an alarm system. Is it necessary to wire for the internal and external sounders? Are these linked directly back to the control panel?

Yes, unless you want a "silent" alarm system, ie: communicates withe the monitoring station only.
Two seperate wires directly to the panel.
External alarm box acts as a deterrent to crimnals and draws local attention to the premises.
Internal alarm is useful to warn you that the alarm is activated, usually very noisy in a small place.

Yes, two separate circuits.

Normally at least a 3 pair cable to the outside sounder (SAB) , and at least a 2 pair to the internal sounder.
