If you have been abroad and working there for 6 months can you claim social welfare (if you need to) when you come back to Ireland?
Yes.
Jobseekers Benefit is run off your PRSI contributions for two years ago (as far as I can figure out, having applied for it and being refused).
Jobseekers Assistance is means tested.
Assuming you pass the habitual residency test, of course.
