Hi

I have searched but not found the answer. I will be moving abroad in April (Spain). I will continue to work for the company I work for now but on a freelance basis(I now work PAYE). I will be under the VAT threshold but was wondering which way will my tax work. Will I be liable in Ireland or Spain. I will be in Spain 10 months a year + I have 2 properties over there which I pay tax on in Tenerife.

Any answers would be appreciated.

If you are leaving ireland permanently and spending 10 months of the year in Spain you will be tax resident there and will be liable for taxes there. If you are not spending any time in ireland (other than incidental trips home) and all of your duties are being carried on from Spain you won't have any Irish tax liability.
