Wire Transfer, UK to Irish bank - fast?

Guys I'm selling someone to someone in the UK - fairly large amount of money - he is wiring the money from his UK bank to my Irish bank. If there any way to do this quickly - or does it always take 4 days etc? How should I best instruct the guy to do the transfer etc? I need receipt that the transfer has been done before I release the item to him.

Ask them to make a SEPA euro payment directly to your account. Provide them with your BIC and IBAN - available on your bank statement. The money will be in your account the day after the transfer is initiated and will be cleared funds.
