Hi
Nonne Valentina on the canal in D8 is lovely, yummy Italian food, reasonably priced. The waiting staff are always very friendly. Best seating is upstairs. (it's owned by the same people that own Dunne and Crescenzi (?spelling) in town.)
Tribeca in Ranelagh is good too, very lively, excellent Chicken Wings (a speciality of theirs).
Nicola

I love Salamanca tapas bar, Fallon&Byrne , FXB restaurant (steak heaven), Monty's of Kathmandu (nepalese). Check out www.diningtreats.com and [broken link removed] The latter has useful reviews on almost all restaurants.
