Hope someone might help.Is there a site like AAM in uk(i really love this site!)?

We are relocating to uk in dec(well, my husband might go 1st then I will follow).I am trying to figure out what we should do with our savings.Am getting all confused trying to figure out best buys in uk and if it is a better option than keeping them in ireland.

currenly we have these amounts in fixed accounts maturing at diff times:
€30K matures dec 2010
€25k matures april 2011
€55k matures may 2011
€15k matures june 2011

We are also contributing €450 each into monthly savers account.

Also,is there anything we should consider when opening a current account in uk?here we went for BOI for no particular reason,i think all the banks here have roughly same benefits as regards a current account.

thanking you in advance for your help. So much to think about (savings,rent/sell our house here) before making the move!!

Boi.

Try Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert website - really friendly advice, on the side of the consumer, has a forum page. Easily Googleable. Good advice there about current accounts and savings.
Best of luck!
