What pension if only short time in Civil Service

Hi

Is there a length of time you need to be in the civil service for your civil service pension to be worth it (exceed getting just the OAP) ?

I was wondering how to calculate my pension from the civil service if I was only in it for say 5 of the 40 years.

Try cspensions.ie. It should give you the answer if you fill in the appropriate boxes.
