First time using the site so hope I’m posting this correctly.
Having battled with the Health Board for a number of years, my Sister was awarded a substantial settlement due to negligence in the mismanagement of her birth.
However her cost of care is hugely expensive, over 200k a year.
My question relates to the Ward of Courts duty or the states for that matter to meet the cost of this care when her settlement runs out.
Luckily she will be quite old when this happens and her needs will be less intensive, What happens to Wards when their assets run out??
