Want to register with .eu can I expect any hiccups?

Hi,

What I'm about to ask may be very vague, but I'll take a chance and ask. I have planned to open a www.<noun>.eu website. Initially it will be a chat forum, but I plan to make some money after it becomes popular by getting the adsense and other stuff. But I never did this before, hence can't help but ask these questions:

* Do I need to tell/contact someone before my name has any conflicts with their business?
* Is there a checklist for me to look into before I register my website name
* Whatever I'm planning to do is this safe?
* Are there any hiccups that I must worry about?

I havent checked pricing but we book all .com domains through them. Easy and cheap

I second godaddy.com as my registrar of choice. I ve used them before and its even better for dot coms now the dollar is weak.

Godaddy as a registrar are fine. I don't rate their hosting very highly though.
