Unsolicited increase in credit limit

I received an unsolicited increase in credit card limit from BoI today. I thought this practice had been outlawed, or am I wrong ?

I will be calling them on Monday to tell them "Thanks, but no thanks".
 
Contact the Financial Regulator. It is outlawed by the Consumer Protection Code, but only sections of them have been implemented as the banks need to make technological changes. However, I would not have thought that a technological change was needed to comply with this section of the Code.
