Unpaid leave and getting a mortgage

Hi there,

Does anyone know what effect taking unpaid leave from work would affect a mortgage application?

E.g. would 1 or 2 weeks be a big enough issue to affect me getting a mortgage?

Also, would reducted income from sick pay be an issue for a simialr length of time, 1 - 2 weeks?

I have some, mild and temprary, health niggles and really need a break, but have used up my annual leave already.

Personally, I would keep any mortgage application "clean", and free of anything that could raise even the smallest issue.
 
Do whatever you need to do to get the mortgage / buy the house.

Once you have the key you can take all the leave you want.
