UK Patent Tax

In view of all the recent tax publicity about Irelands corporation tax rates i only recently came across that in the UK since April last there is a reduced rate of 10% called the Patent Box rate and this rate does not seem to have received much publicity here. Maybe i am mistaken.

You are mistaken. I have high-lighted Cameron's Patent Tax on at last one other web-site. However it is not Ireland's lowish corporation tax rate that got the UK PAC exercised so much as their lack of knowledge about internationally agreed reciprocal taxation arrangements, contract law and transfer pricing.
