Hi,

We installed UFH with concrete screed. We are at the end of a self build so naturally our funds are very low.
We eventually want to put down tiles but because our area is more than 130 sqmetres its working out expensive.
As a short term solution I was thinkingn of Laminate flooring? Is this going to leave the heat up enough?
Do you have to use an underlay or something?
We dont want to stop any of the heat. Also what is the max temperature you can use UFH with laminate?
Is lino/vinyl an option?

We are looking for an answer, can we install Laminate flooring ontop of this? Do you have to use foam, or is there an underlay, whats the best solution in installing laminate flooring

Laminate over the std white underlay over UFH will work. Slightly less transmission of heat compared to tiles, but I have it, and it's not a problem. Same goes for lino.

If it's short-medium term, don't spend huge money on expensive laminate, use a reguler click laminate which can be removed easily when the time comes.

When you do get around to the tiles, they will be better alright.
