Tracker to Fixed and Code of conduct

I think this is the place to pose this question.

I had tracker, moved to fixed. At end of fixed it moved to variable. I checked all the documentation and I saw how they were able to do it. Too late for ombudsman anyway.

On further checking and reading the central bank code of conduct 2006, the institution did not adhere to the code by not offering the most suitable or all fixed rate options available.

Last weekend papers said that the Central Bank is doing further investigation into systemic malpractices regarding trackers in other institutions after the PTSB problem.

My question - Are the Central bank doing investigation or is it just a media story? and, if they are, would it be worth sending them in any information?

Thanks

Hiya

You will get a response from the central bank.

It will say they are taking your opinion on board but they can't reveal anything to a member of the public so you won't get anything else. But it might be worth sending in an email.

But you are 110% correct that the banks are guilty of systemic malpractice.

But why do you think you are past the the limit?

Did your mortgage revert to SVR before 2009?

If after 2009 you should be okay
