Tracker Funds

Hi everybody,

I would like to invest in Tracker funds similar to those available in the UK - these have low mngt charges as they simply follow the FTSE etc. Do these types of funds exist in Ireland? I haven't been able to find them on the websites of several banks and building societies. If they don't, does anyone know if it is possible to invest in such funds in the UK even whilst living abroad?

If it matters I have several UK bank accounts with Nationwide (my favourite financial institution ever by the way - they even wrote to me and told me they were extending my overdraft rather than charging me a penalty for going over it back when I was getting married 5 years ago! I have no debts at all now, by the by. Boy this is a long parenthical sentence, so I had better end it)

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find it in a search.

Thanks!!

Syl

Yes - such funds exist here. Do a Google search of AAM for information on "index tracker" or "index tracking" funds. See my signature link for more on how to do this.
