Tax Question - Tax Free Country

Hello,


I wonder can anyone offer advice about the consequences of bringing home savings to Ireland from income earned in a tax free country over 12 months mid year to mid year when you would still be considered tax resident in Ireland when you return.

I think you have a good idea given the info supplied.

They will be resident both years so taxable on total income.

Apologies I think I could have set out the question clearer. Am I correct in thinking that you would only be taxed on income earned abroad that is remitted into the country or brought back home?

Are you resident and domiciled in Ireland in both years?

will be in start of 2017 and back mid to end of 2018.
