hi I do a deed of covenant for my downs syndrome sister for the past 6 years, she gets back approx €1100 of my tax paid by my employer to revenue. My query as i was on maternity leave last yr without pay, i don't think i will have paid the full €1100 in tax. Only worked 4 months in 2010. Will she get the amount of tax paid or will she get anything? Can a person have 2 deed of covenants running ? Not trying to commit fraud just she needs the money for her annual vhi and my brother is now in a good job and he could start the deed if that is possible. I understand they are for 7 years of which i have done it for her for 6. Also I am married and assessed singly would the revenue assess us jointly and she might still qualify as my husband would have paid tax last yr?
