Stained Glass Panel

Hello, I'm currently building a house and had the idea of putting a feature glass panel in an interior block wall. I would like to install a stained glass panel there, between a room and hallway (eventually - money allowing!) and have a query about the right kind of opening to leave. The walls will be started shortly and while I have dimensions (750mm x 700mm approx) I am unsure of the type of "finish" to request of the builder. I've done a little research and it looks like the panel will need "wooden stops" ? does this make sense? has anybody experience of doing this type of feature? I would be grateful for any guidance. Thanks for your help.

or

If either of these people can't help they should be able to
redirect you.

HTH.
