Hi

We have a solid fuel stove which is fairly old. It was working perfectly, the heat from it was terrific but them my other half broke the control that opens and closes off the fire. The difference is incredible. We can light a fire but hardly any heat now and its very slow to heat rads. We don't know too much about these stoves, but it looks like this control was made up of a type of coil which is broken. I'ts impossible to see how it can be fixed unless the stove was taken out??? Has anyone come accross this problem or had their stoves fixed by a technician or knows a good stove technicial, preferable in the midlands but not necessarlily. Any information would help thanks.
