Sole trader - insurance to cover cost of hiring replacement

If a sole trader operating in a very specialised area has to take time off due to sickness - is there any type of insurance that can be taken out to cover the cost of hiring a temp / locum to keep the business ticking over.

I have heard of keyman insurance but is this only to cover employees rather than the owner?
