We am about to register for the SEI survey for external insulation. We live in a 1940s terraced (ex-corpo) house. Problem begins with a single block, flat roofed kitchen extension, which is really cold in winter. We put in a new kitchen and decorated the room some years ago and now realise that we have to tackle the structural issues.
I have read the terms & conditions for the SEI grants and it says that in most cases the work would have to be completed in full IE. if we apply for the external insulation, all external walls on the house would have to be done. Are we wasting our time registering with SEI in this case? We hadn't planned to do work on the rest of the house.
Curious to know if others were also in similar cases and what work they did on their homes and for what cost?
