People with spare funds to invest have been warned to be wary of an email doing the rounds purporting to be from Bank of Ireland offering a “green” investment opportunity.

I had already edited my original post in BLOCK Caps to state it's a scam.

In terms of the thread title, there is a good argument that plenty will open , and therefore plenty will be warned.

My fear with this type of 'fixed rate bond' scams, is some people will only realise they've been scammed when the product is supposed to mature in 3, 4 or 5 years time.

Probably more chance of making money from this scam than from a typical investment product from a bank.
