Flicked on to this a few times over the last week and is it just me, or is it struggling to find things to class as 'news'?
Some of the scrolling 'news' on the ticket tape is ropey at best.
Do we need entries like 'David and Victoria Beckham are hoping to have more children' or 'Harrison Ford has met Chewbacca on a US radio show'? Are we so desperate for 'news' that this qualifies?
There is also the odd entry that doesn't make sense - some of the proof reading is poor. Last night there was an entry 'The actress was inducted into the Irish America Hall of Fame in New Ross'. That was it. No name. Only found out it was Maureen O'Hara when reading Aertel this morning.
