Rooms for Rent a Room Scheme

Hi,

I have read the rules on the rent a room scheme and understand that the max allowed per year is €7620.

However is there any limit on the number of rooms that you can rent out, (obviously ensuring total rental income doesnt exceed the above figure?).

Im not an expert, but at a guess I'd think not ... otherwise, the Revenue would also have to specify how many people could occupy a single room once the limit was not crossed etc etc & it would get very silly.

No doubt the experts will confirm the situation shortly.

No, my reading is that you can rent as many rooms as you like as long as

(a) you don't breach the limit (as you say); and
(b) you continue to occupy the property as your PPR

p.s. I'm no expert
